Sunny Buddy Model Number SB-001
Palm OS Minimum Palm OS 3.5, memory card usage requires Palm OS 4.0 or newer and memory card slot. A memory card is not required for using Sunny Buddy.
Compatible Palm OS devices Any Palm OS device that has the PalmOne "Universal Connector". Typical compatible models are m125, m130, m500, m505, m515, i705, Zire 71, Tungsten T, Tungsten T2, Tungsten T3, and Tungsten C. Recommended models are m505 and m515. A reconditioned m505 and m515 can be purchased for less than $100.
Memory Usage - Internal 100KB plus 5KB for each inverter
Memory Usage - Card (optional) About 8KB per day, 3MB is needed for one year of data depending on how frequently data is saved. The interval between automatic saves is user-selectable.
Serial Connection Palm® Universal Serial HotSync® Cradle, Model P10828U, or Palm® Serial HotSync® Cable, Model P10804U and Sunny Boy RS232 module or RS485 module with RS485/232 converter.

Power usage Less than 10 watts when using the cradle and recharging power supply. Battery life for continuous operation without external power supply is approximately 12 hours.
Compatible Sunny Boy Inverters Sunny Boy Models SB700U, SB1100U, SB1800U, SB2100, SB2500U, SB3000, SB3300, SB3800, SB4000, SB5000, and SB6000, and Windy Boy. Sunny Buddy detects in-field firmware updates and reconfigures itself automatically.

Configuration requirements Enter the number of inverters and Sunny Buddy configures itself automatically.
Minimum data monitored and tracked AC power output, panel voltage, total AC power produced, total hours of operation, operating mode, errors, date, and time.
Additional user-selected data Any of the basic or advanced Sunny Boy data channels. Examples include internal Sunny Boy temperature, panel current, line frequency, and startups.
Session display Time of startup and shutdown, hours of operation, total instantaneous plant power output, peak plant power output and time, total kWh produced during the session, and total CO2 saved.
Graphical display Instantaneous panel voltage and power output, and graph of power output by time. Tap at any point on the graph to get the exact value and the time of measurement. The graphing interval is user-selectable.
Monitor display AC power output, panel voltage, total AC power produced, total hours of operation, operating mode, errors, date and time, and the two user-selected data channels.
Plant display Table of inverters by performance and device characteristics. Performance characteristics include power output, panel voltage, total power output, and hours of operation. Inverter characteristics include serial number, model, and address.
User options Number of inverters installed; the memory card save interval, and the data format for the memory card data. The Options screen also displays the amount of storage used and available on the removable memory card.
